Handled in accordance with the Presidential Science Award Committee's official letter No. 1130078517B dated November 8, 2024.
Presidential Science Prize recognizes scholars in the fields of Physical Sciences, Life Sciences, Humanities and Social Sciences, and Engineering who have demonstrated innovation and made outstanding contributions to international academic research. Priority is given to foundational researchers who have significantly contributed to Taiwanese society.
1. Internal Nomination and Recommendation Process:
(1) Required Documents from Nominees:
i. Nomination forms (in both Chinese and English).
ii. 3 to 5 representative works (in Chinese or English). For non-digital works such as books, the original copies should be sent to the Office of Research and Development (ORD).
iii. A brief CV.
iv. All documents should be submitted in electronic format via email to the Office of Research and Development at **aes@nccu.edu.tw **.
(2) Internal Recommendation Process: Submissions will be collected by the ORD and presented to the review Committee meeting. Based on the committee’s decision, formal nominations will be submitted to the Presidential Science Prize Committee.
(3) Reference Letters (External Scholars):
i. After confirmation of formal nomination, nominees should request 3 to 5 reference letters from domestic or international scholars not affiliated with NCCU.
ii. These letters should be submitted by **March 20, 2025**, directly email to the National Science and Technology Council (NSTC) at **psp@nstc.gov.tw**, and a copy should be forwarded to the Office of Research and Development at **aes@nccu.edu.tw** for record-keeping.
