Academic ethics is the cornerstone of research and is regarded as a basic requirement in advanced countries worldwide.
Welcome to the Office of Academic Ethics and Research Integrity at National Chengchi University! In conducting academic research, researchers, including students, should uphold academic self-discipline, adhere to the core values of academic ethics, and follow the basic rules and professional standards of “Responsible Conduct of Research.” To implement a mechanism of academic self-discipline, highlight academic values, and strengthen high-quality research capacity, National Chengchi University has established a number of measures:
January 8, 2018 |
Completed the “Guidelines for the Establishment of the Office of Academic Ethics and Research Integrity, National Chengchi University” and established the Office to continue advancing related mechanisms and measures. |
October 25, 2017 |
Promulgated the National Chengchi University Academic Ethics and Research Integrity Self-Regulation Guidelines. |
March 2016 |
Formulated the Directives Governing the Implementation of Academic Research Ethics Education Course, National Chengchi University, to strengthen academic ethics awareness among master’s and doctoral students. |
November 6, 2013 |
Formulated the Guidelines for the Establishment of the Human Research Ethics Governance Framework, National Chengchi University, including the establishment of the Human Research Ethics Review Committee and Advisory Committee. |
2001 |
Formulated the Regulations for the Review of Academic Ethics Cases of National Chengchi University Faculty and Researchers. |
Information Promotion |
Collect and promote information on relevant domestic and international laws, resources, and cases. |
Event Organization |
Assist in and organize seminars, forums, or events related to academic ethics. |
Administrative Affairs |
Handle matters related to academic ethics and research integrity. |
The Office has one Director, who oversees all office affairs, concurrently served by the Vice President and appointed by the President; and one Executive Director, concurrently served by the Dean of Research and Development.
